Join us for the 5th D-HYDROFLEX Project Webinar, an online event focused on Smart Grids and Hydrogen Integration on 1st of July 2026. As Europe continues its transition towards a cleaner and more flexible energy system, the integration of renewable energy sources, smart grid technologies, and hydrogen solutions is becoming increasingly important. This webinar will explore innovative tools and approaches that support intelligent energy management, system flexibility, and the efficient integration of hydrogen technologies.
The session will begin with a presentation from the D-HYDROFLEX project team, introducing the Smart Decision Support Tool for Hybrid Hydropower Plants. Participants will hear from Sergio Rodríguez Carro, Researcher in the Energy Division at CARTIF, who will present how advanced decision-support solutions can help optimise the operation and management of hybrid hydropower plants, contributing to more efficient and resilient energy systems.
The second presentation will focus on the AI-driven Hydrogen Decision Support Model developed within the D-HYDROFLEX project. Eduardo Rodríguez Fernández-Arroyo, Senior Engineer in the Energy Division at ITG Technology Centre, will showcase how artificial intelligence can support decision-making processes related to hydrogen production, storage, and utilisation, enabling smarter integration of hydrogen technologies into renewable energy ecosystems.
The webinar will also feature a guest presentation from the SINNOGENES project. Ana García, Innovation Technician at Aragon Hydrogen Foundation, will provide an overview of the project and present the Huesca Demo Site, highlighting practical experiences in integrating renewable energy generation with hydrogen technologies. The session will demonstrate how innovative hydrogen-based solutions can improve energy system flexibility, sustainability, and resilience.
The webinar will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers, discuss project developments, and explore the challenges and opportunities associated with smart grids, renewable energy integration, and hydrogen technologies.
