Today, our blog hosts a brief interview with Ms Louiza Kachrimani, project manager at NOVA. In this short interview, she shares insights into NOVA’s role and contribution to the D-HYDROFLEX Toolkit High-Level Reference Architecture.
Louiza, we are delighted to have this short interview with you today in the frame of #meet the D-HYDROFLEX team blog series.
Q: Would you like to introduce yourself to us?
A: Yes, of course. My name is Louiza Kachrimani and I am a project manager at NOVA. Over the past years I have worked on many EU-funded projects in the technical sector. I have vast experience in managing and monitoring EU funded projects for SMEs and large companies and in-depth knowledge of project cycle procedures, EU funding principles and research techniques.
Q: Could you describe your company’s role on the project?
A: NOVA, as the technical company, is going to participate in the D-HYDROFLEX Toolkit High-Level Reference Architecture, by contributing to the overall work on this task, concerning the design and develop the high-level structure of the D-HYDROFLEX toolkit, to the definition of the major components and their interactions and establishment of guidelines and standards for the toolkit’s development and integration. NOVA is also going to support the implementation and testing of AI-based solutions concerning the AI tools of the project. Lastly, NOVA is going to contribute to the evaluation of the demonstration activities that will be implemented during the project.
Q: We would like to know more on the technical framework of D-HYDROFLEX project
A: To dive into the technical implementation of the project, we need to understand the main components, technologies, and methodologies that might be involved in each task. This may include programming languages, frameworks, containers and orchestration, databases, data processing, monitoring and security techniques. Each component/tool of the project consists of different technologies and components, that are together combined with the overall scope to support the successful implementation of digital solutions for hydroelectric plants.
Q: What are your expectations from the project?
A: NOVA is expected to acquire substantial technical experience and know-how and to enhance the company’s involvement in new sectors. It’s expected that through its participation in the D-HYDROFLEX will leverage advanced technologies and foster collaboration among different actors that work together to meet the demands of hydropower in the future.
