#MeetTheD-HYDROFLEXTeam: Agnieszka Łukaszewska, Head of R&D in FASADA

Today, our blog hosts a brief interview with Agnieszka Łukaszewska, Head of R&D in FASADA, and Dissemination Manager of D-HYDROFLEX project.

Agnieszka, very welcome. We are happy to have you with us today, in the #meettheD-HYDROFLEXteam blog series. FASADA is the D_HYDROFLEX partner, acting as Dissemination Manager. Dissemination is the key to share project’s work with a bigger audience and build the ground for further exploitation of the innovations performed within the project. Highly demanded task, not technical but equally important for upscaling D-HYDROFELX solutions.

Q: Agnieszka, do you agree?

A: Yes, absolutely! Our research is meant to help end users by giving them tools and platforms they can use in the future. But with so much information around us, it’s hard to grab people’s attention. That’s why having a clear and strong strategy is so important to make sure our ideas reach the right people and make an impact.

Q:  Please, introduce yourself to our audience.

A: As you said, I am a Head of R&D in FASADA. I am a civil engineer with expertise in implementation of digital processes in construction and in the management of research projects.

Q: FASADA is the Dissemination Manager, but please tell us on your company’s contribution to the project.

A: With our extensive background in research projects, FASADA takes the lead in managing work packages focused on dissemination, communication, and exploitation. We are also supporting polish partners in implementation of D-HYDROFLEX solutions in Demo #1 Wały Śląskie HPP in Poland.

Q: What are the main challenges of your work on the project, and how do you tackle them?

A: The main challenges in our project work involve letting everyone know about our findings, talking about them in a way that everyone understands, and figuring out how to make the most of what we discover. Sometimes, finding the right ways to share information can be tricky, and making sure everyone gets the message is a bit of a puzzle. We also work hard to turn our research into things that can help people, but that can be challenging too. It’s like trying to connect the dots in a big picture, making sure our work reaches and benefits as many folks as possible. When it comes to exploitation, we’re working hard to ensure that what we learn ad develop turns into practical solutions that make a positive impact and are put in the practice.

Q: What are your expectations from the project? What impact will the project have on the energy ecosystem?

A: Our expectations from the project are to make sure everyone knows about the digital technologies we’re developing for hydropower plants. We want to share this information in a way that’s easy to understand, so people can see how it can make hydropower plants more flexible and sustainable. By talking about our work in clear ways, we hope to inspire others to use these technologies, making the whole energy ecosystem more efficient and eco-friendly. Our goal is not just to create these technologies but to spread the word so they can be used widely, making a positive impact on the way we generate and use energy.

Personally, I hope that thanks to our project more people will discover the power of hydropower. I encourage everybody to stay in the loop with the latest updates and insights on digital technologies for enhancing hydropower plant flexibility and sustainability and follow us on Twitter at @D_HYDROFLEX   and connect with our professional network on LinkedIn.

Not a better closure than that! Agnieszka, thank you for being with us today!
