On the 25th and 26th of October 2023, Politechnika Wrocławska proudly participated in the HYDROFORUM 2023 conference held in Wrocław in Poland, celebrating 50 years of advancements in the field of hydropower.
This prestigious event brought together 116 individuals representing 50 institutions, businesses, and NGOs, fostering a collaborative environment to address the challenges and opportunities within the hydropower sector.
The HYDROFORUM 2023 conference featured 10 sessions, each providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas among professionals in the hydropower community. A total of 35 papers were presented, covering a diverse range of topics relevant to the current state of the hydropower sector. These sessions were conducted in both Polish and English, with simultaneous translation available to ensure inclusivity and effective communication.
One of the highlights of Politechnika Wrocławska’s participation was the presentation on the D-Hydroflex project, which underscored the significance of digital solutions in enhancing hydropower sustainability, performance and flexibility. The project’s emphasis on innovative approaches aligns with the evolving landscape of the hydropower sector.
The exchange of knowledge, presentation of innovative projects, and discussions on industry challenges underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in driving sustainable development within the hydropower community. As the conference concluded, the shared insights and experiences are poised to contribute significantly to the continued evolution of the hydropower sector in Poland and beyond.
